The neighborhood of Willow Glen is located in the San Jose area near the Santa Clara County. The community of Willow Glen used to be utilized by many railroads and had no sewage system until it connected with San Jose’s system. The motto of Willow Glen is also very inviting as the community focuses on being “Personal, Friendly, and Different”. The event is officially called the “Charlie Brown Trees” and takes place during the Christmas time of the year. Families and homeowners are encouraged to purchase a small Christmas tree and place it approximately ten feet from the sidewalk. People are than encouraged to decorate the small tree with lights that are multicolored and to keep it out for the Christmas season. Many of the surrounding businesses are also encouraged to partake in the traditional event as well.
